Carol has spoken at well over 100 elementary schools throughout the United States. She has also been invited to speak at The Corcoran School of Art, Frostburg State University, Shenandoah University and The Kansas City Art Institute.

During a school visit, Carol shows many pieces of original artwork and explains the numerous steps involved in the creation of a book, from typed manuscript to printing.

She likes to emphasize the importance of research in creating an illustration. Carol ends her talk with an on the spot drawing which she leaves with the students.

Grades: All

Length: 45-60 minutes, depending upon grade.
Questions may be asked during the last 15 minutes while Carol is drawing on the spot.

Audience Size: 2 to 4 classes at one time is best.
This is so that everyone may easily see the original artwork presented, however, more people can be accommodated.

School Should Provide: Please have available a table for my artwork and tools.
An easel with large sheets of paper attached is also required.

Speaking Fees: $300.00 for one session, $150.00 for each additional session, plus travel expenses where applicable.
